The 236th Toronto Scouting Group is a not for profit organization committed to the Scouts Canada mission,  To contribute to the education of young people, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law, to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society.

We accomplish this by teach youth, life skills, leadership, through a series of games and badge training and encourage developing friendships, which we find, live on through their adult life.  In addition, we encourage song, and music and have formed the "236th Cub and Scout Drum Corps" and a guitar group called "First Light Scout Band"

If you would like to help us with our goal and to support youth who may not have funds to fully participate, you may a donation, send your cheque payable to "Scouts Canada - for 236th Scout Group" to Scouts Canada - Greater Toronto Council, 265 Yorkland Blvd., 2nd Floor, Toronto ON, M2J 5C7  A receipt will be issued for tax purposes.

Thank you for looking at our site and reviewing our Financial needs to operate and run a Scouting Group.  All Scouting groups today face new financial pressure on the operation of its group from facility usage fees which were non existant in the past to higher participation costs.  GST on Camping Fees etc.   Every dollar donated to the 236th Toronto Scouting Group is  used 100% to operate the program of the 236th Group. 

How are the funds used:

The funds are used to pay for the usage of the hall facility, assist with registration fee for children in need, uniform purchase for children in need, craft supplies, camp usage fees, taxes, equipment replacement costs,  subsidy for camp 

Our scouting group also supports "The First Light Scout Band" a 236th scout guitar group and also the 236 Cub & Scout Drum Corps.  The purchase and maintenance of the equipment needed is a long process based on suffiicient fundraising, to support this operation.

We welcome your financial support of scouting and we welcome new youth and adult members to the group year round.
